Historiedysten

Historiedysten is the name of an event at The Museum of National History located at Frederiksborg Castle in Hillerød, Denmark. The goal of the event, is to educate 5th and 6th graders in a new way. The topic is Danish history spanning back to 1600. All Danish schools are able to participate in the event, which is divided into four rounds where all the participating schools compete to advance to the next round. The first two rounds are internet based, whereas round three and four are played out at Frederiksborg Castle.

My task was to create the visual environment for the event. This includes visual identity and website.

The project acts as the final project of my second year at The Danish School of Media and Journalism.

Colour scheme The primary colour scheme consists of two colours, that compliment each other and a third colour to use as background.
Logo The logo presented in various colours.
Pattern The patterns are created from the elements in the logo.
Typography Vitesse is used in various weights and colours, and combined with Verdana on the website.
Website Front page design with the most important information right at hand. The angles in the design correlates to the logo.
